Table for 7 is a BTS zine revolving around the cookbook theme. The zine will feature full-colored pages of mouth-watering art, writing, and recipes, along with delicious merch to accompany it. Everything prepared by a talented team of contributors!What is a zine?
A zine (short for fanzine) is a collection of fan-created content for a specific fandom, such as, but not limited to, art, writing, edits, etc. Zines are often published in book format.What are the zine's specs?
Table for 7 will be an A5 perfect bound zine with full-colored pages of food-themed art, writing, and illustrated recipes. Contributors will be split between four sections: Snacks, Beverages, Main Course, and Desserts.Who are the mods?
This zine is run by Mod Thais (@clowreedsfault), Mod Mimi (@cherrycooki3), and Mod Astrid (@mangatamyg). You can read more about the mods and their previous zine experiences here.Are ships allowed in the zine?
While you are welcome to include ships in your application samples, final pieces for the zine will not include any romantic ships. Friendship-based pieces, however, are more than okay!Is the zine for charity or for-profit?
This zine will be split profit (meaning that contributors will be entitled to a share of the profits, but can choose to donate their share to a previously chosen charity).What charity will the donations be made to?
Our chosen charity is Banco de Alimentos, a non-profit organization focused on redistributing food surplus to social entities who deliver them to people in need from São Paulo, Brazil.Find more information about them here! Chefs are the people who will be writing recipes for the zine, and recipe artists will be drawing spot illustrations specifically for these recipes.Will merch artists have to produce the merch?
No, the mods will be responsible for getting the merch produced! All merch artists will have to do is make the design using the specs/templates provided.Will writers just be writing recipes and/or descriptions for the zine or will there be stories as well?
The writers will actually only be writing the stories, while the chefs are the ones that will be creating the recipes. The stories will be SFW, no romantic ships (friendships are more than okay!), and both canon or AU settings will be allowed!Will there be collabs?
Yes! Chefs and recipe artists will be working closely with each other and with Mod Thais, responsible for formatting, to create the illustrated spreads for the recipes. Writer and artist collabs, although optional, will also be allowed.Will you be including alcoholic recipes with beverages?
Since we hope to make the zine and its recipes available to as many people as possible, we won't be including alcoholic drinks in the beverages section.Do contributors need to be over 18 years old?
While you can be under the age of 18 to apply and participate since Table for 7 is a split profit zine, your share of the profit will automatically be put up for charity since we legally can’t pay minors for services! We hope that you understand!Do chefs need to be culinary students or professional chefs to participate?
Not at all, you don't have to be a professional chef, so even if you just cook for a hobby, you're more than welcome to apply for the chef role!Are a majority of the recipes going to be Korean?
We won't be restricting it to Korean only dishes since we hope to have a nice variety in the zine and ARMY is such a diverse fandom with people from all around the world! It won't be completely free-for-all since the mods will have to make sure there are no overlaps, but we hope to give a chance to chefs to showcase recipes that many different people at home will be able to replicate!>> Graphics' food icons designed by Freepik.
